BlackBook Intern Talk!

Life after BlackBook…

…just isn’t as exciting! I’ve been back in Texas for less than two weeks and I still am in denial that I won’t be back in the city for another couple of years. I come home expecting to walk everywhere, or hopstop directions to wherever I need to go, and then realize I need $40, which I don’t have, to put gas in a car I have no interest in driving. Where are the cabs when I need one?! I went shopping today. It’s back to Old Navy and boring department stores and running into no one famous unlike when I shop in Soho and run smack dab into Bryan Greenberg! I go to Soho and get invited personally to Bryan’s show that is, of course, schedule for after my departure of the city. I’m sure it was a bad ass show.

Anyway, I know I didn’t post too much on here before I left, but there are a couple of things that need to be said. BlackBook gave me an amazing summer. Not everyday was the greatest, but it all added up to a fabulous two months in the city. Everyone I met affected me, and I am lucky to have met them. I’m definitely going to miss the BlackBook family and New York. I will be back though! You can count on it. To future interns, take everything given to you and do it fabulously. Always ask for something to do because there always is something to do.

Enough with being emotional, it’s not something I like to do a lot. Best of luck with the magazine and guides!
